Collecting fine crafts is a treasure hunt.
The work I have collected have "spoken
to me". Every treasured piece has
whispered a secret to me, as I admired
their fine qualities.
Handmade pottery is best discovered (in
person) when the pot is held. The rim is
smooth, defining the vessel's shape, the
handle is inviting, the glaze is slick,
satiny, reflecting the light, the textures
are curious, to be touched, the clay tells
it's story.
Low tech, high touch shopping, always
takes in a fine lunch,too.
